Our Story
We Planned Our Own Wedding. Then We Built This.
We're Henry and Elise — an accountant and an engineer who planned our own wedding the hard way, then built the calm place we wish we'd had.
There Had to Be a Better Way
The honest, slightly chaotic beginning.
A year ago we got married. Henry's an accountant, Elise is an engineer, so when we got engaged we honestly thought we had the planning side covered. We did not. Within weeks our budget and guest list were two messy Excel sheets that never agreed with each other, we had a dozen tabs open at all times, and we'd completely lost track of which version of anything was the real one. If the two of us couldn't keep it straight, something was clearly broken.
So we went looking for something better. Plenty of sites handled one piece of the puzzle, a website here, a registry there, RSVPs somewhere else, but nothing tied it all together. Nothing let the guest list talk to the seating chart, or kept the budget in step with the vendors we were actually booking. We didn't want six logins and six half-finished plans. We just wanted one place where everything connected. It didn't exist, so we built it.

The Spark: One QR Code
The moment WedBuild really began.
The first thing we made solved one tiny problem: helping guests find their seats. We printed a QR code for the reception, guests scanned it, and up came their table, a map of the room, and the names of everyone they'd be sitting with.
We thought it was a nice touch. We didn't expect it to be the thing people talked about all night. No hovering awkwardly by the door, no squinting at a printed list, just a clear welcome the moment they walked in. If one small tool could take that much stress out of a single moment, we started wondering what the right tools could do for the whole wedding.
Then Came a Year of Building
We didn't set out to build a company. We set out to build the things we wished we'd had. One led to the next, and over the following year — a long run of evenings and weekends — WedBuild took shape.
The chaos
Spreadsheets, endless tabs, and a plan living in a dozen disconnected places. The problem that started everything.
The QR seating spark
A simple code that let our guests find their table and table-mates in seconds. Their reaction told us we were onto something bigger.
RSVPs and the guest list
We built online RSVPs and a guest list that finally stayed in sync — the foundation everything else could connect to.
Seating and room design
A visual seating chart and room designer, so you arrange tables by dragging them, not by starting the whole plan over each time.
Budget and vendors
A budget planner that keeps up with real life, and a vendor comparison tool that scores your options side by side.
Your wedding website
A wedding website builder to tie it all together for your guests — plus an AI Wedding Assistant to help along the way.
What We Stand For
We didn't invent these in a workshop. We earned them at our kitchen table, surrounded by spreadsheets — and they decided most of the thousands of small choices behind WedBuild.
Calm over chaos
Planning a wedding is emotional enough. Every screen we design is meant to lower your heart rate, not raise it — one calm place instead of a dozen open tabs.
Everything connected
Your guest list, budget, seating and website should know about each other. Change something once and watch it carry through, so nothing slips between the cracks.
Built by people who lived it
We're not a faceless platform. We planned our own wedding inside this, felt every rough edge, and kept smoothing them until it was something we'd genuinely want to use.

Our Vision
“Getting married should be one of the most exciting times of your life. If we can take some of the stress out of the planning — and out of the day itself — then we're achieving what we set out to do.”
— Henry & Elise, co-founders of WedBuild
