How WedBuild compares

When a wedding platform is free, someone else is usually paying for it. Here's who pays for each, and what that means for the tools you get.

How we compare

Most free wedding platforms are paid for by someone other than the couple: vendors paying to reach couples, as with The Knot and Easy Weddings, or registry and stationery sales, as with Zola and Joy. It's a fair way to keep an app free, and it shapes the tools: they're also built to connect you with vendors and purchases.

Couples pay for WedBuild, so everything in it is there to make planning easier: no vendor listings, no sales calls, no ads. Say I Do and WedSites charge couples too, so those comparisons come down to what each one covers, and what it costs.

We only say what we could check on each company's own pages, help centres, terms and app store listings, and each comparison links to what we read. If we couldn't check something, we left it out rather than guess.
