Scores turn "we both liked them" into something you can compare. You score each vendor out of 10 on the things you chose for the category, and WedBuild weights them by what matters most to you, so the overall score on every card reflects your priorities.

Steps

  1. On the Vendors tab, open the vendor with the pencil on their card. You can do all of this while you add a vendor too.

  2. Check them against your must-haves at the top of the panel. Choose the tick (1) when they meet one, or the cross beside it when they don't. The badge (2) sums it up: Meets Requirements, Partially Meets Requirements, Doesn't Meet Requirements or Requirements Not Checked Yet.

  3. Open the Rating tab and choose Add Score, which starts every score at 5. Drag each slider (1) to between 0 and 10, in half points. Under each one is how much it counts, its weight.

  4. Fill in the Comparison tab too, if you like: these are the details you chose to compare, such as hours included.

  5. Choose Save Changes. The vendor's Overall Score shows on their card, out of 10.

  6. To change what matters, open Settings in the toolbar above your vendors. On the Scoring tab (1), drag a slider (2) to give that score more or less weight, add a new one under Add New Category, or remove one with its bin. The weights need to add up to 100% before Save Changes (3) works; Balance to 100% fixes the total in one tap.

Good to know

  • The overall score is weighted. If Price carries 50% and Vibes 25%, a vendor's price score counts twice as much as their vibes score.
  • A vendor who misses a must-have is flagged. Their card gets a red outline, and they're left out of the category's Avg Score. Their own scores stay as you entered them.
  • No must-haves in the category? The badge at the top of the panel switches between Meets Requirements and Doesn't Meet Requirements when you tap it.
  • Change must-haves and fields in Settings too. In Category Settings, Reqs holds the must-haves and Fields what you compare. Choose Save Changes when you're done.
  • Names are set when you make the category. That's the one place to rename Price, Inclusions or Vibes. Category Settings can add and remove them, but a removed one takes its scores with it.
