Works on your phone
Your ceremony, the reception and everything around them, from welcome drinks to the recovery brunch, are events in WedBuild. Each one has its own date, time, venue and guest list, and can go on your RSVP forms.
Steps
-
Open Events from the sidebar and choose Add event at the top right. On a phone, it's the + in the bar at the top. If you're on a date's tab, the new event starts on that date.
-
Give it an Event name (1), like "First look photos". A Description and Dress code are up to you.
-
Choose its Date (2). Add its Start time (3) and End time when you know them: only the name is needed, so the times can wait. Without an end time, calendar invites for it last one hour.
-
Add the Venue and, if you like, its Venue address: start typing and pick the full address from the suggestions.
-
Under Who can come, leave Collect RSVPs on (4) if guests should tell you whether they're coming. Switch Private event on if only some guests are invited.
-
Choose Create event (5). It opens on the right, and joins your list under its date.
Good to know
- To change an event later, click it and choose Edit. If you leave with changes you haven't saved, WedBuild asks first.
- An event that collects RSVPs still needs to go on an RSVP form before guests can answer it. See Collect RSVPs for an event.
- Inviting only some guests? See Make an event private and choose who's invited.
- Your main event, usually the reception, is marked Main event. It always collects RSVPs and can't be deleted.
- Events come with every plan, including Essentials.
