A wedding over a few days fits WedBuild well. Every event gets its own date, time and guest list, guests reply to each one, and you choose exactly which date your emails show.

Steps

  1. Open Events from the sidebar and choose Add event (1) for each part of your celebration, from the welcome drinks to the recovery brunch. Each one has its own Date, Start time and End time, and the list groups your events under their days. The tabs across the top (2) show one day at a time.

  2. To invite only some guests to an event, click it, choose Edit and switch Private event on (1). Only the guests you invite can see it or RSVP to it. Choose Select invited guests (2) to pick them: it saves your changes first, then opens your guest list.

  3. Let guests reply to each event. Every event with Collect RSVPs on can go on your RSVP form: in Forms & RSVPs (opens in a new tab), tick the events on the form and guests answer for each one. An event's Replies tab shows who's coming to it.

  4. Choose the date your emails show. An email has one date line, under your names, and it comes from Event date on the email's Design tab (1), filled in from the wedding date in Settings. Pick a different day there, or open it and click the highlighted day to clear it: the date line disappears from the email.

Good to know

  • Want all your days in an email? Clear the Event date and write them in the Subtitle just above it, for example "Friday 5 to Sunday 7 March 2027" (up to 60 characters).
  • A date you clear stays cleared. Leave the email and open it again later, and the date line is still gone. Only a new email starts with your wedding date.
  • An email's Associated event doesn't change what guests see. It only helps you find the email later.
  • Add to Calendar adds one event. In an email, that button adds the event you pick in its row, with that event's own date and time.
  • Dates on a card are part of the design. On a card in Studio, double-click the date and change or delete it like any other words.
  • Plan each day's timings in the Itinerary (opens in a new tab). Choose Add day for every day of your celebration.
  • Give each guest their own itinerary. Each guest's link then shows only the events they're invited to, day by day, with directions and dress codes. See Give each guest their own itinerary.
