Add an Itinerary section to your website

In Sections, open Itinerary under The day and pick a design. Guests from their own link see their days; anyone else sees a name box, public events or nothing.

Works on your phone

An Itinerary section shows each guest their own plan, right on your website: the days and events they're invited to, with times, places and dress codes. It fills in as they open the page, so when a time changes, it changes there too, with nothing to republish.

Steps

  1. Open Website and the Sections tab. Under The day, open Itinerary (1) and click a design (2) to add it after the section you're looking at. Your days card puts their events by day in one card, Days side by side gives each day a column (stacked on phones), and With a photo sets your photo beside their plan. Searching the tab for "itinerary" or "plan" finds it too.

You can also add it from Site, Guest features, where Your itinerary has Add the section, or from your Itinerary (opens in a new tab): Share, then Add it to your website.

  2. Click the section on your page and open the Edit tab. Under Show as, pick the sample household or Someone we don't know to see both versions on your page. Only you see this.

  3. Under Words, change the Heading, the line Under the heading and the Button if you like. In the heading, {days} becomes how many days they're invited to, like "Your three days".

  4. Under What it lists, choose Their events, by day, or Events and every moment to add your itinerary's moments for them too.

  5. Under Guests you don't know, choose what Someone we don't know sees (1): A name box to find their itinerary, Your events that are open to everyone, or Nothing. Hide the section from them. The line below (2) is a reminder of what goes where.

  6. Choose Republish (or Publish website) so your guests see it.

What guests see

  • From their own link: a heading like "Your three days", a line like "Just for Priya · 5 events", and each of their days with its events (1). Private events they're invited to are there too, marked By invitation, and one they've said no to says Can't make it. Open my full itinerary opens their own itinerary page, once personal itineraries are on.

  • From the code on their invitation: the same, for their whole household, like "Just for Priya & Sam". An event only some of them are going to says who, like For Priya.

  • With the name box: Find your itinerary. They type their name as it's written on their invitation and choose Find my itinerary, and their days open in place, with Not you? Search again. Your events that are open to everyone are listed underneath.

  • With your public events: Our celebrations, with every event that's open to everyone.

  • With Nothing: no section at all. They see the next section instead.

Good to know

  • What goes where? Your website is for everyone: your story, travel, places to stay, Q&A and gifts. The itinerary is each guest's own detail: times, places and dress codes for the events they're invited to.
  • Guests reach it from their own link. See Send each guest their own link to your website.
  • No itinerary yet? That's fine. The section lists each guest's events from Events: the public ones, and the private ones they're invited to. Open my full itinerary appears once you switch on Give each guest their own itinerary in your itinerary's Share settings. From then on the section follows the same rules as their itinerary page, so the two always agree. See Give each guest their own itinerary.
  • The name box needs your itinerary's name search. It works while personal itineraries and Let guests find their itinerary by name are on, and your itinerary has no password of its own. Until then it asks guests to use their personal link, and the section's Edit tab says so, with a link to Itinerary share settings.
  • The name box never says who's invited. Every miss reads the same. A full name is needed, and a name two households share asks them to use their personal link.
  • Guests who typed the code from their invitation see their private events only while guests can find their itinerary by name.
  • Times and dates follow your wedding's settings, such as a 12 or 24-hour clock.
  • Your Schedule section is different. It shows only your public events, the same for everyone, and changes when you republish.
  • Want it inside a section you already have? Add, then Live details, has Itinerary.
  • See it as a household with Preview as… in the bar above your page, on a computer, or as one guest with See what they see on Personal links. See Preview your website before guests see it.
