Can I add a video to my website?
Yes, on Pro. In the new editor's Add tab, Video has Add a video (guests tap to play) and Video background (a quiet loop). Up to 60 seconds.

Works on your phone
Yes. On Pro (and during your free Pro trial) your website can show a short video right on the page, or play one quietly behind a whole section. Longer than a minute, or on another plan? A button that opens your video on YouTube or Vimeo works for everyone.
Steps
-
Open Website and choose the Add tab, then scroll to Video. Pick Add a video for a clip on your page that guests tap to play, with sound, or Video background for a quiet, looping video behind the section you're looking at.
-
Choose Choose a video and pick an MP4 or MOV file, up to 60 seconds and 50 MB. Keep the page open while it uploads. When it says Uploaded with your clip's length, it's done.
-
For a video on the page, type a few words in Describe the video for guests who use a screen reader, then choose Add video. It shows as a still with a play button, and you can drag it wherever you like. For a background, choose Use this video, and the Background tab opens on that section with your video in place.
-
Choose Republish (or Publish website if you haven't published yet) so your guests see it.
Change how it plays
Select the video and open the Edit tab:
- Plays: When tapped (guests press play and hear the sound) or On a loop (it starts by itself with no sound, with a pause button).
- Fit: Fill the box or Show it whole.
- Still image, in the bar above your page, picks the photo guests see before it plays.
Longer videos, and the other plans
-
Put your video on YouTube or Vimeo and copy its share link.
-
Open Website, choose the Add tab (1), then Buttons, and pick a style such as Solid (2). The button lands in the part of the page you're looking at, and you can drag it wherever you like.
-
The Edit tab opens for your new button. Change Words to something like "Watch our video". Under Goes to, choose the link button (1), pick Web address (2), paste your video's link (3) and choose Update link (4). Open in a new tab is already ticked.
-
Choose Republish so your guests see the button.
In the classic editor
Videos are only in the new website editor. If yours shows a Try the new website editor banner, you're in the classic editor, and a button is the way to share a video:
- On the Add tab, drag Link Button (under Elements) onto your page.
- Select it, and on the Edit tab type your words in Button Text and paste your video's link into URL.
- Choose Republish.
Good to know
- Guests who prefer less motion, or who are on a slow connection, see the still instead of a video that plays by itself.
- Changed plan since? A video already on your website keeps playing and you can still edit it. Adding or replacing one needs Pro.
- A warning about Android phones? Some iPhone videos are in a format a few Android phones can't play. Export it again as "Most Compatible" (H.264) so every guest can watch.
- Streaming the ceremony? Add, then Live details, has Watch live: a card with your livestream link for the day, and a place for the recording afterwards. See Add a livestream link to your website.
- New buttons open your RSVP form until you change where they go under Goes to.
- Emails can't carry a video. Put it on your website, then switch on Open Wedding Website under Email buttons on the email's Design tab, so guests can get to it from the email.
