Works on your phone

Fancy a different look? You can try any of WedBuild's templates whenever you like. Your names, date and schedule fill in by themselves, and the website you have now is kept, so you can always go back to it.

Steps

  1. Open Website from the sidebar and choose Templates at the top. On a phone, Templates is in the bar along the bottom. On an empty page, Browse templates opens it too.

  2. Templates opens. Choose Preview (1) to see a template full size, as it looks on a Computer or a Phone. When you find one you love, choose Use (2), or Use this template from its preview.

  3. WedBuild checks with you first. Choose Use this template (1) to put it in place, or Not yet to keep looking.

  4. Your new design opens in the editor. Its words are the template's own, so read through them and make them yours, and add your photos to its empty photo spaces. See Edit the words and photos on your website.

  5. When it's ready, choose Republish (or Publish website if you haven't published yet) so your guests see it.

In the classic editor

If a Try the new website editor banner runs across the top of your editor, you're in the classic editor:

  1. Choose Templates at the top. Choose a Template opens.
  2. Choose Preview to see a template in a new tab, or Use to pick one.
  3. Choose Yes, Use Template. Your current website is saved as a restore point in Version History first.

The templates made for the new editor aren't in this list, as they only open there. To use one of them, choose Try it on the banner, then Start from a template. See Move your website to the new editor.

Good to know

  • Guests see nothing new until you publish. Your live website stays exactly as it was until you choose Republish.
  • Changed your mind? The website you had is saved as a restore point called Before applying a template. Open History and choose Restore beside it. See Undo, or restore an earlier version.
  • A template's photos don't come with it. They become empty photo spaces, the same size, ready for your own.
  • It's in the menu too. The ⋮ above the top-right corner of your page has Templates….
  • Every template comes with every plan, Essentials included.
