Works on your phone
Every word and photo on your website can be changed right where it sits on the page. The editor saves as you go, so there's nothing to lose by trying things.
Steps
-
Open Website from the sidebar. Double-click any words on your page (1) and type. The bar above your page changes the font, size, colour, bold, italic and more. Insert field (2) adds your names, wedding date or place as a field that keeps up with your wedding details.
Press Esc, or click somewhere else on the page, when you've finished.
-
To change a photo, click it. In the bar above your page, choose Replace (1). Crop moves and zooms the photo inside its space; for a photo in a shape, like an arch, it says Reposition. ALT (2) is where you describe the photo for guests who use a screen reader.
-
Your photos opens. Choose a photo to use it, or Upload photos (1) to add new ones from your computer or phone.
-
When you're happy, choose Republish (or Publish website) so your guests see the changes.
In the classic editor
If a Try the new website editor banner runs across the top of your editor, you're in the classic editor:
- Double-click any words on your page and type.
- Double-click a photo to choose another from Your photos.
- Choose Republish when you're ready for guests to see it.
Good to know
- Your work saves as you go. The top of the editor says when it last saved, and Save is there if you'd like to be sure. Guests only see changes once you republish.
- Fields stay up to date. Change your names or date in Settings and every field follows. Republish so guests see it too.
- Photos can be JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or SVG, up to 10MB each. Upload once, then use them anywhere on your website.
- Made a mistake? Press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows), or use the arrow at the top right of your page.
- On a phone, double-tap words to type, and tap a photo to see Replace. A crop you make there is for phones only (the editor says For phones only), so your website on a computer keeps its own. To change it for computers too, switch to Desktop in More and crop it there.
