Send a group text to your guests

In your Inbox, choose New text, pick who it goes to and write your message. Each guest gets their own text, and their replies come back to you one by one.

Send one message to everyone, or just the guests you choose, straight from your Inbox. Each guest gets their own text with your names at the start, so it never becomes a group chat, and any replies come back to you privately.

Steps

  1. Open Inbox from the sidebar and choose New text at the top. Beside it you can see how many texts you have left.

  2. Under To, choose Everyone, Haven't replied, Coming, or Choose guests to tick them one by one. The line underneath says how many can be texted, and who can't and why.

  3. Write your message. Add their name puts in each guest's first name, Add their own link puts in each guest's own link (it opens your website greeting them by name, with their RSVP ready), and Add your website adds your website's address.

  4. Check how it reads under How Priya sees it, and what it uses, like "Uses 84 texts of your 400 · 316 left after". Short of texts? Choose Buy texts and your message is kept while you buy.

  5. Choose Check and send. WedBuild counts who gets it and opens every link in your message, ticking each check off as it goes. When it says Ready to send, choose Send.

Good to know

  • The checks look out for you. A link that's gone (a page that isn't there, or a website name that doesn't exist) has to be fixed before the text can go. Anything else, like guests with no mobile, is shown so you can decide, and Send anyway sends it.
  • Replies come back one by one. Each guest's reply lands in their household's conversation in your Inbox, where you can text them back. Nobody else sees it.
  • Sent texts sits at the top of your Inbox. Open a send to see who it reached, whose didn't arrive, and who replied, then tap a guest to open your conversation with them.
  • You can text anyone from their conversation too, whether or not they've texted you first. Write in the box at the bottom of the conversation.
  • Nothing arrives between 9pm and 8am in the guest's own time. A text sent later waits until 8am.
  • Texts that don't arrive come back to your balance.
