Read and answer guests' texts
Guests' texts back land in your Inbox under Texts. Open one and text them back from the bottom of it. A STOP means WedBuild won't text them again.

Works on your phone
When a guest texts back, their reply comes to your Inbox, in their household's conversation. You can read the whole conversation and text them back, like messages on your phone, and every text starts with your names.
Steps

Open Inbox from the sidebar and choose Texts at the top. A number beside it shows how many you haven't opened yet.

Open a text. The conversation shows your texts on one side, with how each one went (Sent, Delivered or Didn't arrive), and the guest's on the other.

To answer, write in the box at the bottom, under Text and their name. If more than one of the household has a mobile, choose who it goes to first. The line under it says how it starts, what it uses and what's left, like "Starts with "Anika & Dev:" · 1 text · 312 left". Then choose Send. A text with a link in it shows Check and send, and the links are opened before it goes.

Open in Guests takes you to the guest, to change their reply or their details.
Good to know
- Guests can text back because your texts come from a WedBuild number. WedBuild texts mobiles in Australia for now; email or WhatsApp guests with a number from anywhere else.
- A STOP is a quiet line, like "Priya Mehta replied STOP · they won't get texts from WedBuild again", marked Opted out of texts. WedBuild won't text that number again, for your wedding or anyone else's. If they'd like your texts again, they can reply START. You can still email them, or send them their link on WhatsApp.
- HELP is answered for you. A guest who texts HELP is told the texts come from WedBuild for your wedding, and how to stop them.
- You can text a household before they've texted you, from their conversation. Your answer to someone who has texted you goes straight away; a first text waits until 8am if it's after 9pm where they are.
- Some guests can't be texted from WedBuild: when they've opted out, when they have no mobile, when their number is in a country where guests can't text back, or until your first names are in Settings (every text starts with them).
- A text uses texts like any other, up to 600 characters. Short of texts? The Inbox says so, with Buy more texts.
- Photos can't be shown. A picture a guest sends shows as "A picture, which WedBuild can't show".
- A reply reaches you when it comes within 60 days of your last text to that number.
