Build your wedding day itinerary

Open Itinerary, add your day, then choose Add moment for each part of it. Moments sort themselves by time, and the preview shows what guests will see.

Your itinerary is the running order of the day, moment by moment, from hair and makeup to the last dance. Nobody can see it until you switch its link on, so you can build it at your own pace.

Steps

  1. Open Itinerary from the sidebar. The page is called Wedding Day Itinerary. The first time, choose Add your first day, then Add day. If your wedding date is in Settings, the day is already filled in as The Wedding Day on that date.

  2. Choose Add moment (2). Your days sit in tabs along the top, with Add day (1) beside them, and What guests see (3) is a live preview of your guest link.

  3. Pick a Start time (1) and give the moment a Name (2), like "Guests arrive". The end time fills in an hour later, ready to change. The rest is optional: an End time, a Location, its Address (guests get a Directions button to it), a Vendor, Notes for guests, and Private notes that only you see. Then choose Add moment (3).

  4. Keep adding moments. They sort themselves by start time. To change one, click it, or use the pencil beside it. The bin deletes it, after asking you first.

Good to know

  • The day stays in view while you edit. On a computer a moment's form opens on the right, beside the day, and the day shows your changes as you type. Switch to Preview above the form to see exactly what guests will see, before you save. On a phone, switch between Edit and Preview at the top.
  • Keep a moment just for you by choosing Only you under Who sees this in its form. It stays on your itinerary marked Private and never appears on the link. Private notes never appear on the link either.
  • A late finish is fine. An end time earlier than the start time is allowed, for a send-off that goes past midnight.
  • Credit a vendor. Type any name under Vendor name. Or, if you've marked vendors as selected in Vendors (part of Pro), pick one under Or pick from Vendor Comparison to link to their details.
  • Changed your mind halfway through? If you leave a form with changes you haven't saved, WedBuild asks whether to discard them or keep editing.
