Works on your phone
Every word, photo and colour on a card can be changed, whether it came from a template or you made it yourself. Your changes save as you go, and Undo is always there if something goes wrong.
Steps
-
Open Studio from the sidebar and click your card. It's picked out on the right: choose Edit (1).
-
To change words, double-click them on the card and type. To restyle them, click the words once: the toolbar above the card fills in with the font (1), the size, the colour (2), bold, italic and alignment. The panel on the right has every other setting, like spacing, and All caps to show the words in capitals.
-
To change a photo, right-click it and choose Replace photo, then pick one from your computer. Crop in the same menu lets you choose which part shows. On a phone, tap the photo and use Replace the photo in the toolbar.
-
To change a shape's colour, click it and use Fill colour in the toolbar. For the card's own colour or a photo behind everything, click an empty part of the card: the Background tab opens.
-
To move something, drag it. Drag a corner to resize it. To add something new (more words, a photo, a graphic, a shape), use the Add tab on the left.
Good to know
- Made a mistake? Use the Undo arrow above the card, or press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows).
- To remove something, click it and press Delete, or use the bin at the end of the toolbar.
- All caps keeps what you typed. The words show in capitals on the card, on its link and in your downloads, and switching it off brings back your own lettering. Names that fill in by themselves come out in capitals too. On a phone, it's in the Properties tab.
- Can't click something because another thing is on top? The Layers tab lists everything on the card. Click a row to select it.
- A card you've already emailed is view only, so every guest sees the same card. The bar above it says so: choose Unlock and type unlock to change it. Your changes then show on the card guests open from their email, though the email itself doesn't change.
- Your changes save as you go. The line under the card's title says when it was last saved.
- On a phone, the tabs (Add, Background, Layers and more) are at the foot of the screen, and the toolbar sits above the card.
