Your save the date is made in Studio, and you don't need to be a designer. Start from a ready-made design, and many of them fill in your names for you. Nothing goes to a guest until you choose to send or share it.

Steps

  1. Open Studio from the sidebar and choose Start from a template (1). A new card opens with the templates ready to browse.

  2. In Select a Template, choose Save the Date (1) to see only save the dates. Click a design to see it large on the right, then choose Use this design (2).

  3. Make the words your own. Double-click any words on the card to type over them. Check every line: some designs come with a sample date and place written in. See Change the words, photos and colours on a card.

  4. Give your card a name you'll recognise: click its title at the top of the editor (it starts as "Untitled Card") and type a new one. Guests never see this name.

  5. When you're happy, send it the way that suits you:

Good to know

  • Your card saves as you go. The line under its title says "Saved just now". Save saves straight away if you'd like to be sure.
  • Any QR code on the design already opens your wedding website. To send guests to your RSVP form instead, see Make a QR code for your paper invitations.
  • Want a different design later? Choose Templates at the top of the editor. A new design replaces everything on the card, so WedBuild asks first, and that can't be undone.
  • Like a few designs? Press the star on one to add it to Favourites, so it's easy to find again. Open full preview shows a design in a new tab.
  • Rather start with a blank card? Choose New card instead. See Start a blank card or bring in your own design.
  • On a phone, the template button and New card (the +) are at the top of Studio.
  • Studio comes with every plan, including the free Essentials plan.
