Works on your phone

Have a picture of your card in your head, or already designed it somewhere else? You can start with a blank card in Studio, or bring in a design you made in Canva or PowerPoint and carry on from there.

Steps

  1. Open Studio from the sidebar and choose New card. A blank card opens, called "Untitled Card". Click the title at the top to rename it.

  2. Choose its size. With nothing selected, the panel on the right is the card's own: open Preset and pick a size, such as the 5" × 7" classic invitation (1). Print sizes come first, then sizes for screens, like a square social post.

  3. Build it up. The Add tab on the left has words, photos, graphics, shapes and a QR code. The Background tab sets the card's colour, gradient or photo, and its shape. See Change the words, photos and colours on a card.

  4. Made your design in Canva or PowerPoint? Above the card, choose More (1), then Import a PowerPoint design (2), and choose your .pptx file. From Canva, use Share, Download, then PPTX to get one.

  5. WedBuild shows you what came across before anything changes. Choose Replace this card to use it. The first slide becomes your card, at the slide's own size.

Good to know

  • Importing replaces what's on the card. Changed your mind? Press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows) straight after to put your card back.
  • Only .pptx files can be read, not the older .ppt kind.
  • Your words stay words. An imported design keeps its text, so you can still double-click it to change a date or fix a typo.
  • Need a back? Choose Add a page above the card. A two-page card downloads as one PDF, one page per side.
  • Changing the size keeps everything in proportion: WedBuild scales what's on the card to fit and keeps it centred. Press ⌘Z if you don't like it.
  • Check before you print. The Checks tab lists words that run off the edge or are hard to read, and photos that would print blurry.
  • On a phone, Import a PowerPoint design is in the ⋮ menu above the card.
