Works on your phone

You don't need to make a card for every guest. Design one place card, tell it where each guest's name and table go, and WedBuild prints a page for every guest on your list, each with their own details filled in.

Steps

  1. In Studio, choose New card. On the right, open Preset and pick a size, such as the 3.5" × 2" escort card. See Start a blank card or bring in your own design.

  2. Add some words from the Add tab and click them once. In the toolbar above the card, choose Insert field (the (x) button), then Guest's name (1). Add another line the same way and choose Table (2). The arrow beside each lets you pick how it reads, such as just the first name, or "T7" instead of "Table 7".

  3. Style the fields like any other words: font, size and colour. All caps, in the panel on the right, shows every name in capitals, however it's written on your guest list. Switch on Preview as a guest, above the card, to see it with a sample guest's details in place (the switch appears once the card has a guest field).

  4. Choose Download or print. Under One card per guest, choose One for every guest, or One for every household for one per party. The sheet tells you how many pages you'll get. Then choose Download PDF.

Good to know

  • It prints everyone on your guest list, in name order, whatever their reply. Check your list first, or remove the pages you don't need.
  • Table and seat come from your seating chart. A guest who isn't seated yet gets a blank where the table goes, so print once your seating is done.
  • One card per guest only appears once the card has a guest field, and only for a PDF or printer pack, not a picture.
  • Other fields you can add: Household (their party's name, such as "The Hartley Family"), Seat, and Their plus one. Under Your details are your names, wedding date and location, which fill in straight away.
  • Menus, table numbers and signs are one design printed as many times as you need, so there's nothing to merge. Pick a size in Preset: DL (99 × 210 mm) is a popular menu size, A4 suits an order of service and A2 a welcome sign.
  • Thank-you cards can be merged too, with each guest's name on their card. See Make thank-you cards.
  • A merged PDF is always print quality, so every name stays sharp.
