Make a drag and drop seating chart
In Seating, open Drag & Drop Seating Chart, choose Add table for each table, then drag guests or whole parties from To seat onto the tables.

The Drag & Drop chart is the quickest way to plan who sits with whom. Add your tables, then drag guests, or whole families, onto them. It saves as you go.
Steps

Open Seating from the sidebar and choose the Drag & Drop Seating Chart tab. To start a fresh chart, choose New Drag & Drop Chart on the Dashboard tab, give it a name and choose Create Version.

Choose Add table, at the top of the tables. Give the table a Table Name (1), or leave it empty to use the next number, set its Number of Seats (2), from 1 to 20, and choose Create Table (3).

Drag a guest from To seat, on the left, onto a table. To keep a family or a couple together, drag their party card (1) by its top row onto a table's Drop guests here space (2). Everyone in the party who isn't seated yet goes to that table.

Carry on until everyone has a seat. The count at the top of To seat shows how many are seated so far.
Good to know
- Find people fast. Search To seat by name, party or category, or choose the sliders button to sort the list and filter it by reply or category. Available above the tables shows only the ones with room.
- A full table says so. Drop someone on a full table and you'll see Table Full. A party that won't fit shows Not Enough Space.
- Make a table as you go by dropping a guest or a party on the dashed Add Table card. A new table is made with them at it.
- Move someone by dragging them to another table, or back to To seat. Point at a guest on a table to see more: the person icon takes them off the table, and the arrows change their seat number.
- Change a table's size or name with its pencil. See Remove an empty seat.
- Done? Choose Mark as Final so Find My Seat shows these tables. See Mark your final chart.
- On a phone, you tick guests and choose a table instead of dragging. On a phone or tablet, the ⋯ beside a table edits or deletes it. See Seat guests from your phone.
