Which seating tool should I use?
Drag & Drop is the quick way to put guests at tables. The Visual chart draws your room seat by seat. The QR Seating Chart helps guests find their seat.

Seating has three tools, and you don't need all of them. Pick the one that suits how you like to plan: you can always try another later.
Steps

Open Seating from the sidebar and choose the Dashboard tab. It shows how many guests have a seat in the Guest Summary (1), your Visual Seating Charts (2) and Drag & Drop Charts (3), and the page your guests use to find their seat (4).

Choose the tool that fits, from the tabs along the top:
- Drag & Drop Seating Chart is a list of tables. Drag guests, or whole families, onto them. It's the quickest way to decide who sits with whom. See Make a drag and drop seating chart.
- Visual Seating Chart is your room drawn to scale, with every table where it will really stand and every guest in their own seat. You can print it, with dietary needs, for your venue. See Set up your room.
- QR Seating Chart sets up Find My Seat: guests scan a QR code at the venue, type their name and see their table. See Set up Find My Seat.

When your seating is done, choose Mark as Final in the chart you've been using. That copies everyone's table and seat to your guest list, which is what Find My Seat shows your guests. See Mark your final chart.
Good to know
- One chart is plenty. You can seat everyone in Drag & Drop and stop there. Use the Visual chart when you want a room plan too.
- Click the Unassigned number on the Dashboard to open the chart you're working on, with the guests who still need a seat.
- Seating opens where you left off. It remembers the last tab you used, so choose Dashboard to get back to the overview.
- Guests marked as vendors in your guest list are left out of the seating numbers.
- Drag & Drop comes with Standard and Pro. The Visual and QR Seating Charts come with Pro, and you can use them during the free Pro trial. On a plan without a tool, it opens behind an upgrade prompt. See What your plan and trial include.
