Works on your phone

Guest Memories is everything your guests share with you from their own phones: photos, short videos, notes, and voice or video messages. There's no app for anyone. Guests scan a code on their table, and everything lands in your Inbox by the morning after. Setting it up takes about five minutes, and you can change anything right up to the day.

Steps

  1. Open Guests from the sidebar and choose the Memories tab. Set up Guest Memories lists five steps, and each one ticks itself off as you do it.

  2. What guests can share: switch on Photos, and any of Short videos up to 30 seconds, Notes and Voice and video messages. Under When a photo arrives, choose Show photos straight away, or Check each one first to approve each one in your Inbox before anyone sees it. Photos work with or without a website.

  3. Your greeting: choose Record your greeting and say a few words, or record a short video. Guests hear it before they leave you a message. Someone who can't be there can leave one from your message page: choose Copy link to send it to them.

  4. On the night: choose Live to put photos on the big screen as they arrive, or Reveal night for a disposable camera: each guest gets a set number of shots, and everyone sees the photos together when they develop. Add a few of Tonight's challenges to get everyone snapping.

  5. Print your cards: choose Choose a card in Studio. A new table card opens on the table card designs. Pick one, or add a QR code: on a table card it starts on your Guest Memories page. On any other card, choose Guest Memories page: photos, notes and messages under Scans to. The step ticks itself off once a card has the code.

  6. The morning after: Morning-after note is on to start with. At 9am the day after, everyone who said yes gets an email in your names asking for their photos, with a button to your guest page that is just for them, so what they add arrives with their name. You don't need a website for it. Choose Preview the email to read it, or switch it off. A gentle second note a week later goes only to guests who haven't shared. An album for your guests puts everyone's photos and videos in one place from the morning after, and Tell guests when the album is ready emails everyone who said yes three days after. See After the wedding: your album and your memories.

Good to know

  • See it as a guest. The phone beside the steps is your real guest page. Point your phone's camera at the code under it to open the page on your phone.
  • Try it now. Anything you add from your own computer or phone while testing is kept apart. When you're done, choose Clear test items and it's gone from your Inbox, the wall and the slideshow. On the wedding day, what you add counts like any guest's.
  • A line for your MC. Choose Add an MC moment to your run sheet. Your run sheet suggests "MC: invite guests to share photos" ten minutes after the reception starts, with the words to read. It's for your MC and your venue, never on your guests' link. Choose Not for us if you'd rather not.
  • Which plan? Pro includes Guest Memories, and you can add it to any other plan for your wedding. During your free trial you can set it all up and test it, and guests can share from your wedding day once it's added. See What your plan and trial include.
  • Your old links keep working. If you change your web address later, printed cards and codes still open your guest page. See Change your web address.
  • Kept for at least 2 years after your wedding, and we'll email you before anything is removed. Everything guests share waits in your Inbox, and Download everything there keeps your own copy.
  • How many joined in. After the day, What your guests shared says how many guests added something, out of everyone who said yes.
