Paste your guest list
Go to Guests, choose Paste a list, and paste your guests from Notes, an email or a spreadsheet. Check the households WedBuild found, then add them.

Works on your phone
Already have your list in your notes, an email or a spreadsheet? Paste it in as it is. WedBuild sorts it into households, and nothing is added until you've checked it.
Steps

Open Guests from the sidebar and choose Paste a list at the top of the page. On a phone it's the clipboard button in the top bar.

Paste your list into the box. Put one household per line. To keep households apart on one line, put a semicolon between them. Or leave a blank line between groups, and the lines in each group become one household. You'll see how many households and guests we've found as you go.

Choose Sort into households.

Have a look where we guessed. Each household shows its guests, with:
- Split to break a household apart, and Merge with the one above to put two together
- Remove to leave a household out (Undo brings it back)
- places we've added for names you haven't got yet, like "The Nguyens (4)". Choose Add names now, or add them later.

Choose Add and the number of guests. Then pick what's next: start taking replies, ask family to add their side, or see your list.
Good to know
- Write it the way you would anyway. "Priya & Sam Patel" becomes Priya Patel and Sam Patel, "Daniel Okafor + partner" adds a plus-one, and "Sue Hart (Mum)" keeps Mum as a note.
- Headings label households. A line ending in a colon, like "Mum's side:", files the households under it into a category of that name.
- Emails and mobiles come along. Put them on the same line as the person, and they're added to that guest.
- Guests already on your list are caught. They're left out unless you choose Add anyway. If we think someone might be a guest you have, like "Nana Rose: is this Rose Hart?", choose Yes to leave them out or No to add them as written.
- On the Essentials plan your list holds up to 50 guests. The free Pro trial has no limit, and after it any guests past 50 are kept but locked until you upgrade. See What happens to guests past 50 after your trial
