Add a guest, a couple or a family

On the Guests tab, choose Add Guest, pick Single, Couple, Family or Group, type each first name and choose Add. A couple or family joins one party.

You can add one guest at a time, or a whole household in one go. Only a first name is needed, so you can fill in the rest later.

Steps

Open Guests from the sidebar, go to the Guests tab and choose Add Guest at the top. On a phone, tap Add.
Under Guest type (1), choose who you're adding: Single for one guest, Couple for two, Family for three or Group for four. You get a card for each person.
Type each person's First name (2). It's the only thing you have to fill in. Adult or Child sets their meal. Nickname, Email, Phone and Address (3) each open a box. A nickname helps your guest find themselves on your RSVP form.
Adding a bigger family? Choose Add another guest for each extra person.
Under Party settings, give a couple, family or group a Party name (1) if you like, such as "The Lewis family". Leave it blank and WedBuild names it after the guests. Single has no party name, because each guest joins on their own. Pick any Categories (2) to give everyone you're adding.
Choose the button at the bottom (3). It says how many guests you're adding, like Add 2 Guests.

A couple, family or group joins one party, so they stay together for invitations, replies and seating.
Single adds each guest on their own, even when you choose Add another guest for more people. Only a plus one joins their guest, in a party of the two.
Don't know someone's partner's name yet? Choose Add +1 on your guest's card instead. See Add a plus-one for a guest.
Picked the wrong type? Choose a smaller one and the extra cards go. If you've typed in them, WedBuild asks first. A card added with Add another guest has its own X.
Closing the panel asks first if you've typed anything, so nothing is lost by accident.
