Works on your phone

Your web address is the one ending every guest link shares: your website, your RSVP form, your other guest forms and your Find My Seat page. You can change the ending, and it's best done before you send or print anything.

Steps

  1. Open Settings and go to the Guest links tab (Links on a phone). Under Your address, choose Edit address.

  2. Type the new ending (1), such as john-and-marie-2027. WedBuild checks it as you type and says Available or Already taken. Then choose Save changes (2).

  3. A window lists every guest link that will stop working. Choose Change URL anyway (1) to go ahead, or Cancel to keep your address as it is.

All your guest links change together, straight away. The Guest links list underneath shows the new ones, ready to copy.

Good to know

  • Your old links stop working. The old address doesn't forward to the new one, so anything with it (a printed QR code, an email you've sent, a bookmark) opens a not-found page. Share your new links, and check anything you've printed.
  • What you can use: 3 to 50 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens, starting and ending with a letter or number. Capitals become lowercase, and spaces and other characters are left out.
  • Changed your mind before saving? Choose Cancel beside Save changes and nothing changes.
  • In the website editor too. Site at the top of the editor has the same address, with Edit address: it's one address, so changing it in either place changes it everywhere.
  • Using a domain you own? It isn't affected: your domain still shows your website. Your RSVP and other guest forms use your WedBuild address, so share their new links.
