Works on your phone
Your venue and caterer need your final numbers, who sits where and who can't eat what. Instead of printing it again every time a guest changes their meal, send them one link. It always shows the latest, and there's no account for them to make.
Steps
-
Open Seating from the sidebar and choose Share with your venue at the top. (It's also under For your venue in your run sheet's share settings.)
-
Give the link a name, like your venue's, and switch on what they should see: Final seating, Meals by table, Dietary needs, allergies first and Run sheet. Guest contact details stays off unless you switch it on.
-
Choose when the link stops working (two weeks after the wedding to start with) and, if you like, a password. Then choose Make the link.
-
Choose Copy to send the link yourself, or type the venue's email under Email it to the venue and choose Send. It goes in your names, and their reply comes to you.
-
Choose Preview what the venue sees to open their page in a new tab.
Good to know
- It shows the chart you marked final, from either the Drag & Drop or the Visual Seating Chart. Until one is final, the venue's Seating tab says so. See Save versions and mark your final chart.
- Meals by table counts your meal questions (dropdowns ticked as a meal choice), with kids' meals and each table's dietary needs.
- Your venue sees what changed since they last looked: a changed meal, a guest moved to another table, a new dietary need.
- The password is never in the email. Tell your venue yourself.
- Contact details are personal. Switch them on only if your venue needs to call guests: you'll see a reminder when they're on.
- You can turn a link off at any time with Turn off this link. Your venue then sees that it has been turned off.
- Your venue can print everything from their page with Print.
