Works on your phone

Your RSVP form can ask every guest who's coming about their dietary needs, and whether they need an adult or a child's meal. Their answers land on your guest list, ready for your caterer.

Steps

  1. Open Forms & RSVPs from the sidebar, choose the RSVP tab and pick the form.

  2. Under Questions, switch on Ask for Dietary Requirements (1). Switch on Required (2) if every guest who's coming must answer. The pencil changes the question's wording.

  3. To ask whether each guest needs an adult or a child's meal, switch on Ask for Meal Type (Adult/Child) (3) underneath.

  4. Choose Save changes (4). Until you do, guests still get the form as it was.

What your guests see

Each guest who's coming answers for themselves. They can tick No dietary requirements (1), pick from a list of common needs and allergies, like vegetarian, gluten-free or a nut allergy (2), or type something that isn't on the list and press the plus (3). The meal question that follows asks Adult or Child for each guest, and starts on the meal type they already have on your list, so a guest you've marked as a child starts on Child.

Good to know

  • Required never traps anyone. Guests with nothing to declare tick No dietary requirements, which counts as an answer. Typing "None" or "N/A" counts the same.
  • Answers go straight onto your guest list. Each guest's dietary needs and meal type are saved on their details in Guests.
  • No meal question, no change. On a form that doesn't ask about meal type, a reply leaves each guest's meal type on your list just as it is.
  • Your own questions can go to adults or children only. They use this same meal type to tell who's who.
  • See everyone's answers together on the Dashboard tab, under What guests told you, and download them for your caterer as a PDF or an Excel file. See See and export your RSVP replies.
  • Need to ask something else about food? Add a question of your own, like a choice of main course. See Add your own questions to your RSVP form.
  • Each RSVP form has its own questions, so switch these on for every form that needs them.
